Rooted in Music, Fueled by Flavor
In 2010 several community volunteers and businesses joined together to create Platteville’s Hometown Hog Roast which was held on the properties of Pizzeria Uno and the Platteville Chamber. In addition to the hog roast, the event featured live music, a pie eating contest and a duck race in the creek behind the properties.
Following the death of Tom Fiedler, the main cook of the hog roast, Hometown Hog Roast came to an end. In 2016 the event was reformatted and moved to Second Street with the Platteville Chamber of Commerce facilitating the majority of the event and the creation of Southwest Music Fest occurred.
This year, we’re bringing back the hog roast, taking Southwest Music Fest back to where it all began! In partnership with The Annex and Pizzeria Uno, you will find Jason Fielder (Tom’s son) and crew roasting up a hog, in the same spot as it was in 2010!

Saturday Food Specials
You won’t go hungry during Southwest Music Fest on Saturday! There will be food options GALORE inside the gates of the festival! Sorry, no carry in food or drinks! Grab your drinks and food and head outside to the picnic tables right in the middle of the street! Enjoy the live music and fresh air while you experience great food! After all we are Rooted in Music and Fueled by Flavor!
