Can I bring my family and pets?

We all love our family and pets; however Southwest Music Festival is geared towards 21 years or older humans. We encourage you to leave the children at home. Pets are not allowed at the event. The only party animals welcome are you and your friends!

So, what can and cannot be brought to Southwest Music Fest?

Rules, right? If you have any questions about what is not allowed or just questions in general, feel free to reach out to chamber@platteville.com or ask a volunteer at the chamber booth on the festival grounds.

Well, the obvious is that no weapons of any kind are permitted on the festival grounds. All local ordinances, laws etc. will be enforced by Platteville’s finest. (The pokey is just a block away!)

No outside food or drink is to be brought onto the festival grounds. There are several awesome establishments in or around the venue that will be happy to quench your thirst and hunger. All beverages and tasty items purchased can be brought out to the festival grounds to be enjoyed. Be sure to check the food page for specials!

Alcohol beverages must remain inside the gated event area. No glass is allowed outside of the establishments or within the festival grounds. Your servers or event volunteers will be happy to provide a plastic cup for your beverage.

Bring your favorite camp, lawn or bag chair, as many friends as you can assemble and a desire to have fun at Southwest Music Festival.

What type of seating is available?

The Southwest Music Festival is an outdoor event with festival seating. Limited seating will be available. We encourage you to bring your favorite camp chair, lawn chair, bag chair with you to claim your favorite spot within the venue.

What if it rains?

A little Wisconsin weather never stopped a good time. Southwest Music Festival is a rain-or-shine event, so pack accordingly and let’s party.

Are credit cards accepted?

Most of the establishments in and around the festival grounds will accept credit or debit cards. There are also several ATMs available.

Sorry, credit cards will not be accepted at the admission gates.

Is Southwest Music Fest ADA Accessible?

We want everyone to enjoy the festival experience. Accessible viewing areas and restroom facilities are available throughout the festival grounds. If you need assistance during the event, stop by the Chamber booth and we’ll be happy to help.

We know your friends and followers are excited to see what you are up to today! Yes, you may share photos and videos of your experience at Southwest Music Festival on your socials. Be sure to tag #southwestmusicfest when you post.

Be aware that other cameras and recording devices will be in use on the festival grounds. By attending, you are aware that you are in a public place where your likeness, image, voice, comments etc. may be shared across several social media platforms and in marketing or promotional materials in perpetuity that does not require a release or compensation.
